Refuge Art Stars Residency Program Kickoff: Building Creative Momentum

Updated: May 23

We are excited to announce the launch of our Residency Program, designed to support emerging artists in developing their practice within a structured and collaborative environment.

The Refuge Art Stars Residency Program offers artists dedicated studio time, a community of artists of different mediums, limitless access to resources & supplies, and mentorship to advance their creative projects. Participants will engage in regular critiques, workshops, and community events, fostering both individual growth and collective learning. This program provides artist with the following for 3 months, giving other students and emerging artists from Refuge Art School the opportunity to reapply once turnover happens.

Throughout the residency, artists will:

  • Develop Work: Utilize studio time to create and refine their art.

  • Engage in Critiques: Participate in regular feedback sessions to gain insights and perspectives.

  • Collaborate: Explore opportunities for joint projects and interdisciplinary exploration.

  • Community Interaction: Share their work with the public through open studios and exhibitions.

We are committed to providing a supportive environment that encourages experimentation, growth, and community engagement.
