This year, we created more than art—we built a thriving community where creativity, empowerment, and opportunity flourished. From debuting our first public mural, Urban Healing, to supporting 95 students—90% of whom relied on financial aid—Refuge Art School has been a beacon of hope and expression.

Together, we achieved incredible milestones:

  • 17 programs and 3 workshops across 3 semesters.

  • Piloted our first "Storytelling Through Dance" performance program.

  • Over $60K in financial aid and work-study opportunities.

  • 10 student jobs in arts administration, studio management, and education.

  • 3,836 hours of instruction and studio time.

  • 800+ hours of student-led public art projects.

  • Participation in 7 community events, bringing art to the heart of Lowell and Boston.

Your support made all this possible. But there’s so much more to do.

Help us continue creating a space where creativity heals, confidence thrives, and futures are shaped. Together, we can build a brighter, more hopeful tomorrow. Refuge needs your support now, more than ever.
