She Still Loves You Nonetheless: Cloudy Rosas Solo Exhibition

We are proud to share "She Still Loves You Nonetheless", a solo exhibition by Cloudy Rosas, curated as part of our continued commitment to supporting emerging artists beyond the classroom. Creating space for solo exhibitions is a critical step in helping artists transition out of our programs and into the broader art world. These opportunities allow artists to take ownership of their work, develop their voice, and build the confidence needed to pursue exhibitions, proposals, and long-term creative goals.

During the reception guests were invited to be vulnerable and share it through answered prompts, connecting every guest to the core of Cloudy's intention, to be vulnerable.

When uncomfortable feelings emerge, Cloudy’s response is to compartmentalize, to break down old cardboard boxes, stitch found objects to them, and assemble them into small buildings. Through this process, they reflect on loneliness, depression, nature, dreams, and spirituality. There is healing in going deeper, and in slowly returning with a greater understanding of how to move forward. This exhibition is a collection of vulnerability.

Cloudy Rosas is a 27-year-old Cambodian Mexican American contemporary mixed media artist based in Lowell. In She Still Loves You Nonetheless, they explore transformation, healing, and self-discovery. Their process begins with writing as a way to understand emotion, which then guides their material choices.

Cloudy works primarily with recycled and repurposed materials, cardboard, fabric, dried flowers, ceramics, and paper, emphasizing the value of what is often overlooked. These materials, both fragile and resilient, mirror the emotional states within the work.

Through acts of reconstruction, Cloudy transforms discarded objects into forms that hold meaning and care. Their work invites viewers to keep going, to stop hiding, and to practice loving every part of themselves, even the most difficult ones.

The exhibit is free and open to the public any day of the week, from March 14th - May 9th during building hours: 9AM - 5PM.
